Walkthrough Overview
Dread Delusion's story is divided into three acts. Your choices throughout the game determine which ending you unlock. This walkthrough covers the optimal path for experiencing all content.
Act 1: The Exile
You begin as a prisoner on the starting island. Your first goal is to find a way off.
- Speak to the other prisoners in the holding area. One will give you a shiv (basic weapon).
- Find the guard captain's key in the barracks. The key unlocks the main gate.
- Explore the starting island thoroughly. Find the Starlight Dagger in a hidden chest behind the waterfall.
- Complete "A Broken Compass"— talk to the hermit on the eastern cliff. He will give you your first quest objective.
- Repair the glider using materials found in the watchtower. This allows you to reach the hub island.

Act 2: The Truth Emerges
On the hub island, you will meet the major factions and learn about the Shattering.
- Visit the Order of Light's temple. High Priestess Elara will offer you a quest to cleanse a corrupted shrine.
- Find Marcus the Free in the tavern. He will tell you about the Free Thinkers and their plans.
- Explore the Abyssal Depths (requires the Void Key, found in the Mage's Tower).
- Complete "The Herbalist's Request" for a sanity-restoring recipe.
- Activate all three teleportation shrines for a permanent movement speed boost.
- Find the Forgotten Forge beneath the hub island to unlock gear upgrades.

Act 3: The Final Choice
The final act branches based on your faction allegiance. Your choices here determine the ending.
- Order of Light Path: Complete the ritual of sacrifice at the Sunken Temple. Requires 3 Void Crystals and 1 Ancient Alloy.
- Free Thinkers Path: Gather allies from across the islands and assault the Old Gods' domain. Requires completing 4 faction quests.
- Void Cult Path: Find the Void Cult's hidden base and prove your devotion by defeating the Corrupted Knight.
All Endings Explained
Dread Delusion has four distinct endings. Here's how to achieve each one:

| True Ending | Collect all 12 Lore Pages + complete all faction quests | You discover the truth and gain the power to reshape reality |
100% Completion Tips
- Save often and in different slots. Your choices have consequences, and you may want to explore different paths.
- Talk to every NPC. Many quests are hidden in dialogue. Some NPCs only appear at certain times of day.
- Explore every island. Hidden areas often contain lore pages and powerful items.
- Manage your sanity. Low sanity locks you out of certain dialogue options and quests.
