Progression Overview
Lunacid is a non-linear game, but there is a natural progression path that most players will follow. The game is divided into several major areas, each with its own challenges and rewards.
| Area | Difficulty | Key Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Starting Area / Prison | Easy | First weapon, Moonlight Key |
| Central Hub | Safe Zone | Blacksmith, merchant, storage chest |
| Forgotten Cistern | Easy-Medium | Abyssal Dagger, Ring of Shadows |
| Library Annex | Medium | Healing Salve Recipe, Library Crest |
| Royal Archive | Medium-Hard | Observatory Key, spell tomes |
| Moonlit Garden | Hard | Moonlight Blade, Mana Potions |
| Echoing Vault | Very Hard | Void Scythe, Void Cannon |
| Observatory Peak | Endgame | Final boss arena |
Starting Area & Escape
You awaken in a small cell. Your first goal is to escape and find a weapon.
- Search the cell thoroughly — there is a hidden Health Vial behind a loose brick on the left wall.
- Exit the cell and follow the corridor. You will find a Rusted Sword on a corpse. Pick it up.
- In the next room, a guard patrols. Wait for him to turn his back, then strike. Alternatively, sneak past him.
- Find the Cell Key on the guard's belt. Use it to unlock the main gate.
- Before leaving, explore the eastern corridor. Break the cracked wall to find the Moonlight Key.
- Use the Moonlight Key on the locked door near the exit. This opens a shortcut to the Central Hub.

Central Hub & First Goals
The Central Hub is your safe zone. Here you can upgrade gear, buy supplies, and plan your next move.
- Blacksmith: Upgrade your weapon. Prioritize getting your Rusted Sword to +2.
- Merchant: Buy Teleport Scrolls and Antidotes. Save your coins for later.
- Storage Chest: Store excess items here. You have limited inventory space.
- Notice Board: Read the notes for hints about where to go next.
From the hub, you have three paths: the Forgotten Cistern (east), the Library Annex (north), and the Caverns (west). Start with the Cistern.
Mid-Game Areas
Forgotten Cistern
This underground water system is home to the Forgotten Knight (optional boss). Defeat him for the Knight's Greatshield. Also find the Abyssal Dagger and Ring of Shadows here.
Library Annex & Royal Archive
The library is a vertical area with multiple floors. Find the Healing Salve Recipe on the ground floor. On the top floor, defeat the Mirror Witch (optional boss) for the Mirror Shard spell. The Library Crest opens the sealed section containing the Observatory Key.
Moonlit Garden
A beautiful but deadly area. The Moonlight Blade is here — essential for hybrid builds. Also find the Starlight Crossbow and several Mana Potions. The Moonlight Merchant is hidden in an alcove here.

Late-Game & Final Areas
Echoing Vault
The deepest and most dangerous area. Bring plenty of healing items and light sources. The Void Scythe and Void Cannon are found here. The Ancient Wyrm (optional boss) guards the path to the deepest chamber.
Observatory Peak
The final area. Use the Observatory Key to unlock the path. The Moon Presence awaits at the top. Before the fight, ensure your gear is fully upgraded and you have at least 5 Healing Salves and 2 Teleport Scrolls.
