Emberbane offers five weapon classes, each with unique movesets and elemental affinities. Your choice of weapon determines your playstyle more than any other factor.

• Longsword: Balanced speed and damage. Versatile moveset with good reach. Best for beginners.
• Dual Blades: Fast attacks, low damage per hit, high DPS. Excellent for applying elemental effects quickly.
• Great Hammer: Slow but devastating. Breaks enemy guards in one hit. High stamina cost.
• Spear: Long reach, thrust attacks. Excellent for keeping distance. Good for ice builds.
• Staff: Focuses on elemental spellcasting. Low physical damage but high elemental damage.

Best Beginner Builds

The Fire Knight — Beginner Friendly

Weapon: Longsword
Element: Fire
Armor: Scorched Plate Set
Playstyle: Infuse your Longsword with fire and use heavy attacks to apply burning. The burning deals damage over time while you focus on defense. This build is forgiving because you can deal damage while blocking.
Key Items: Ember Shard, Ring of Flame (increases fire duration by 3 seconds).

The Frost Spearman — Safe & Control

Weapon: Spear
Element: Ice
Armor: Glacial Wanderer Set
Playstyle: Keep enemies at range with spear thrusts. Ice slows enemies, making it easy to control the fight. Freeze enemies and follow up with a shatter attack for bonus damage.
Key Items: Frost Amulet, Iceheart Ring (increases freeze duration).

Best Endgame Builds

The Storm Dancer — Maximum DPS

Weapon: Dual Blades
Element: Lightning
Armor: Thunder Stalker Set
Playstyle: Apply lightning with rapid attacks. Chain lightning procs clear groups of enemies. This build has the highest DPS in the game but requires precise stamina management.
Key Items: Storm Ring, Conductor's Amulet (chain lightning jumps to 2 additional targets).

The Elemental Archmage — Hybrid Power

Weapon: Staff
Element: All three (switch situationally)
Armor: Sage's Robe Set
Playstyle: Use the Staff to cast elemental spells. Switch elements based on enemy weaknesses. This build requires the most game knowledge but is the most versatile.
Key Items: Elemental Orb (reduces switch cooldown), Mana Crown (increases mana regen).

The Inferno Crusher — Boss Killer

Weapon: Great Hammer
Element: Fire + Lightning (Overload combo)
Armor: Magma Tyrant Set
Playstyle: Use fire infusion to build up burn, then switch to lightning to trigger Overload. The resulting explosion deals massive damage. This build is slow but destroys bosses in seconds.
Key Items: Overload Gem, Ember Shard +2.

Upgrade Tips — Making Your Gear Stronger

• Upgrade Materials: Ember Shards, Frost Crystals, and Storm Essences are used to upgrade weapons. Each weapon has 5 upgrade levels.
• Prioritize elemental damage: Physical damage upgrades are less valuable than elemental damage upgrades. Focus on your element.
• Armor sets matter: Wearing a full set grants a set bonus. Mixing pieces loses the bonus. Always wear a complete set.
• Infusion stones: These rare items let you add a secondary element to your weapon. Found in hidden boss arenas.
• Merchant discounts: The Scorched Outpost merchant gives discounts if you bring him rare crafting materials. Trade wisely.
